We all know that when it comes to summer skincare, less is more. It can be a little overwhelming to know which steps are vital and which are not- and so we are here to Streamline Your Skincare (aka "Skin Streaming") like a pro.
1. CLEANSE
Cleansing cannot be understated. When treating acne-prone, or breakout-prone skin, one of the first things looked for is "Is the person cleansing thoroughly enough?". Depending on how dry or sensitive your skin is, you may opt for just cleansing in the evening, and using either micelle or water in the morning.
2. EXFOLIATE
As we age our skins ability to produce new skin cells and shed the old ones slows down. Exfoliation not only clears away the old, but encourages the new! Exfoliation can come in several forms- physical or chemical - which then breaks down to examples like scrubs, microdermabrasion, exfoliating face brushes, enzymes, peels, lactic acid, glycolic acid, AHA's, BHAs, you name it!
Different types of exfoliation do different things, and work for different levels of sensitivity. Whether you are new to exfoliation or a true pro, we recommend gentle and often when it comes to your skin, and opting for a higher strength exfoliation once or twice a month so your skin has time to repair and rebuild.
