Skin First: Inside Amber Jennas’ Soft Glam Masterclass in Tampa
This past weekend, we had the pleasure of being featured at the beautiful Soft Glam Makeup Masterclass hosted by bridal makeup artist extraordinaire, Amber Jennas, in Tampa, Florida.
Nearly 100 attendees traveled from near and far to watch Amber demonstrate her signature bridal Soft Glam look- the kind of radiant, seamless makeup that lasts from the first photo to the final dance.

And she opened with the most important truth in beauty:
Makeup longevity is determined by skin prep.
Of course, I couldn’t agree more!

The Foundation: Refinement
Amber began by gently sweeping an exfoliating toner pad across her model’s skin to remove residual buildup and soften texture. This step is less about stripping and more about refinement - ensuring that no excess dead skin interferes with how your foundation lays or wears.
She noted that when the canvas is smooth, everything that follows performs better.

The Glow: Lipid Nourishment + Lift
Next came our Bedouin Elixir Facial Oil! Our incredible lightweight, organic facial oil, made using 15 of nature's most Phyto-Potent botanical oils. Rich in antioxidants, Vitamins A, C, and E, and Essential Fatty Acids, the facial oil provides a balanced, healthy, youthful glow - perfect to prep the skin for makeup to last!
Amber pressed the oil into the skin slowly and intentionally, pairing it with a sculpting and lifting facial massage to stimulate circulation and awaken the complexion. This is a step so often rushed, yet it’s where makeup longevity begins.
Facial massage encourages blood flow, reduces puffiness, and creates that natural, lit-from-within vitality that no highlighter can truly replicate. The skin becomes supple, balanced, and primed - not greasy, not heavy- just alive.
This is the difference between makeup sitting on the skin and makeup becoming one with it.

The Seal: Strategic Priming
She followed with Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré as an additional priming moisturizer — a technique bridal artists often use to lock hydration into place and ensure all-day wear.
Layering thoughtfully is key.
Exfoliation.
Nourishment.
Seal.
Then: Artistry.
The Artistry: Soft Glam, Elevated
Amber buffed Armani Luminous Silk foundation into the skin using a dense, fluffy brush, creating a perfected yet breathable base. She shared subtle but impactful details - like dispensing product onto a palette to control quantity and avoid caking.
Her contour technique was refined and controlled. Cream blush duo from Patrick Ta Beauty was layered for dimension, including a soft flush beneath the eyes for sheer color correction (a brilliant alternative to heavy concealer!).
After setting the complexion with Huda Beauty baking powder, she reintroduced life with powders applied using a cream blush highlighter on the upper cheek. The result: structure without heaviness, glow without excess shine.
Finishing touches included outer-edge lashes for lift, a milky face mist to revive the skin, and Makeup Forever Artist Pencils on eyes and lips for a cohesive monochrome moment.
By the end of the masterclass, the entire room looked radiant. Bridal-ready, confident, luminous.

Takeaway
Bridal makeup that lasts is not just "heavy makeup" or "cakey makeup". Bridal makeup, event makeup, or any makeup for that matter, should be intentional- not random. Amber chose her products carefully, and didn't use a ton of each one- she was all about super light layers!
When the skin barrier is balanced, circulation is stimulated, and lipids are replenished properly, makeup doesn’t have to fight texture or dehydration. It simply enhances what’s already there.
I’m deeply honored that Bedouin Elixir was part of that ritual, used not as an afterthought, but as a foundational step.
Because skin is not separate from makeup -after all, it is the canvas!
And as always, I’m delighted to be part of your skin ritual- bringing a moment of luxurious calm and lasting radiance to your everyday.
With love and radiance,
