My Favorite Travel Rituals (Skin First, Always!)

Hi loves,
If you know me, you know I live for a good trip—whether it’s a quick Miami escape or flying home to London. But I never leave my skincare behind.
Travel can throw your skin (and your nervous system) out of whack. Over the years—through long flights, back-to-back jobs, and countless hotel sinks—I’ve built a ritual that keeps me grounded and glowing no matter where I am.
Here are my favorite travel rituals, from my carry-on to yours:
1. Pre-Flight Shower
Before flying I always take an “everything shower” with a deep scrub head to toe, using all my top shelf hair face and body products, followed by a super nourishing body cream head to toe and skin ritual with my Vitamin C Rejuvenation Oasis Serum and Bedouin Elixir facial oil to seal it in and retain moisture, keeping my skin protected from that recycled air!
2. Hydrate Before, During & After Flying
Planes suck the moisture out of your skin. I load up on hydration before I board with the Oasis Serum—it calms, soothes, and protects my skin barrier.

Pro tip: I keep a bottle in my purse and reapply mid-flight (all our products are TSA friendly!)
3. Post-Flight Reset
The moment I land (or settle into a hotel), I smooth 3 drops of the Bedouin Elixir into damp skin. It helps rehydrate, soothe puffy, dry skin and is the perfect travel skin reset.

4. Morning Gua Sha (Always)
Even on the road, I always bring my Gua Sha. Just 2 minutes in the morning helps reduce puffiness, release tension (especially in my jaw), and wake up my skin.

Sometimes I even keep it in the hotel mini fridge. Ahhh...Instant refresh.
5. Move + Breathe
Skincare becomes self-care when you slow it down. Even one deep breath while you apply the product can shift your nervous system. Rituals like this help me feel like myself, even in unfamiliar places.
Also I try to schedule in some movement - whether that be doing some yoga, Pilates or just going on walks—to help adjust to time zone differences and to encourage de-inflammation of any puffiness caused by the travel.

6. SPF, No Exceptions
New climates = new sun exposure. I never travel without SPF—and I reapply. Every. Day. Especially when I’m on set or out exploring.
7. Write It Out
I keep a small notebook with me to jot down what I’m feeling, noticing, craving. Travel opens up new layers—skincare included.

8. My Airport Uniform
You’ll usually find me at LAX in a soft oversized sweater, slouchy tailored trousers or leggings, trainers, and gold hoops. Effortless but elevated. A good layering piece is essential (planes can be freezing!)

9. Pack electrolytes and your vitamins
My digestion, sleep and hydration always tend to suffer which in turn leads to suffering skin. To try and combat that, I repack my vits and electrolytes ahead of time, with enough to go in my handbag for on the plane too.

10. Check out the local skin stores
Wherever you are going, don’t forget to adventure to the local skin stores! I’m currently traveling in France and the European Pharmacies are every skin junkie’s HEAVEN!

Whether you’re flying across the world or just stepping away for the weekend, you don’t need a million steps. Just a few intentional rituals.
