The Breakfast I Eat Every Day for Clear, Glowing Skin
A Gut-Healing Recipe for Clear, Glowing Skin
By Omayma Ramzy - Esthetician & Founder, Omayma Skin

If your skin is breaking out, inflamed, or just not looking like itself, I don’t start with products. I start with the gut.
Over the years—working as an esthetician and formulating skincare—I’ve seen the same pattern again and again: compromised digestion shows up directly on the skin.
This is one of the simplest gut-healing breakfasts for clear skin that I come back to constantly.
It’s warm, protein-rich, anti-inflammatory, and designed to support the gut–skin connection.
Ingredients
- 1 cup bone broth (grass-fed, slow-simmered)
- 3 organic, pasture-raised eggs
- Sea salt
- Cholula (or clean hot sauce)
- 2–3 tbsp kimchi (raw, probiotic-rich)
How to Make Eggs in Bone Broth
Warm your bone broth in a small saucepan until hot but not aggressively boiling.
Crack the eggs directly into the broth and whisk as they cook. You’ll get a soft, silky texture- somewhere between scrambled eggs and soup.
Add sea salt and a few dashes of Cholula or your favorite clean hot sauce.
Pour it into a bowl and top with kimchi just before serving.
Why This Is One of the Best Breakfasts for Gut Health and Your Skin
Supports Gut Healing + Intestinal Lining Repair
Bone broth is rich in collagen, gelatin, and amino acids like glycine and glutamine, which help repair the gut lining.
If you’re dealing with acne, rosacea, or inflammation, this matters more than most skincare products.
Strengthens the Gut Microbiome
Kimchi adds natural probiotics that support digestion and microbial balance.
A healthier gut microbiome = better nutrient absorption + calmer skin.
High-Protein Breakfast for Hormones + Skin Repair
Eggs provide:
- Complete protein for tissue repair
- Choline for cellular health
- B vitamins for skin renewal
This makes it an ideal high-protein breakfast for skin health and hormone balance.

Anti-Inflammatory Support for Acne, Rosacea & Sensitive Skin
This meal is naturally low in sugar and high in nutrients that help reduce inflammation.
That’s key if you’re dealing with:
- Hormonal acne
- Rosacea
- Skin sensitivity
- Compromised barrier function
Is This Breakfast Good for Hashimoto’s or Autoimmune Conditions?
In many cases, yes—with personalization.
For clients with Hashimoto’s (like myself), skin flare-ups, or autoimmune conditions, I recommend looking at:
- Blood sugar stability
- Gut repair
- Reducing inflammatory triggers
This breakfast supports all three.
It’s warm, easy to digest, and rich in nutrients that support immune and thyroid function.
Note: Eggs can be inflammatory for some people. If you tolerate them well, they’re incredibly beneficial. If not, modify accordingly.
Why a Warm Breakfast Is Better for Digestion
Most people underestimate this.
Cold breakfasts (like smoothies) can be harder on digestion, especially if your gut is already compromised.
A warm, savory breakfast:
- Supports digestive function
- Helps with nutrient absorption
- Feels more grounding for the nervous system
It’s a small shift that can make a noticeable difference in both gut health and skin clarity.
Nutrition (Approximate)
- Calories: 300–350
- Protein: 22–25g
- Healthy fats for skin barrier support
- Collagen + amino acids from bone broth
The Way I Think About Skin
I don’t separate food from skincare.
If your gut is inflamed, your skin will be too. Always.
This is the kind of simple, consistent habit that builds:
- Clearer skin
- Stronger barrier function
- Better long-term aging outcomes
Not overnight—but reliably.
If you’re working on healing your skin from the inside out, I approach skincare the same way—with barrier repair and inflammation in mind.
